Volumes have been written on this matter, and the controversy and ruckus about where the "hot" slot machine games are placed in the casino are still intense - 60 years after slot games were 1st placed in gambling dens.

The classic rule is that the more favourable slot games were put just inside the main entryway of the casino; so that individuals going by would see jackpot winners and be infatuated enough to come unto the gambling floor and play. Our stance is that this is definitely no longer the case.

The majority of the mega casinos nowadays are herculean complexes and it is not possible to see inside from the sidewalk, so there's no longer a reason to position the 'loose' one armed bandits near to any of the doors.
